Muhajir Abd. Rahman1, La Sugi2*, Fadillah3
PDFAbstract
This study highlights the effectiveness of social assistance services at the Kantor Pos Cabang Pembantu (KCP) Ambon Rumatiga, Ambon City, by examining the integration of Islamic educational values in the aid distribution process. The results indicate that Islamic educational values, such as justice (al-adl), compassion (rahmah), cooperation (ta’awun), and trust (amanah), are the main principles that support the effectiveness of social services.
The principle of al-adl is reflected in the distribution of aid that is equitable and non-discriminatory towards beneficiaries. The value of rahmah (compassion) is seen in the interaction of officers full of empathy and professionalism in providing services. The ta’awun principle (cooperation) is important in facilitating distribution through cooperation between postal officers, local governments, and the community. Meanwhile, amanah (trust) is manifested in transparency and accountability in distributing social assistance, which increases public trust in the service system.
These findings indicate that integrating Islamic educational values in social services can improve the effectiveness and quality of aid distribution and strengthen social harmony in Ambon City. Thus, this study recommends applying similar principles in other public service policies, especially in areas with high levels of poverty and social diversity.

PDFAbstract
Abstract
This study examines the 2023 election manifesto of the APC presidential candidate. The objectives of the investigation are to analyze the pragma-discourse features in the election manifesto used by the APC presidential candidate to present himself positively and others negatively, examine the speech acts in the election manifesto through which the APC candidate presented his political agenda, describe the ideologies that influenced the policies of the APC candidate and reveal the covert meanings in the election manifesto expressed by the APC candidate. The pragma-discourse features used in the manifesto of the APC candidate are transitivity processes (material, mental and verbal), sentence types (simple and complex), cohesive relations (reference, additive and adversative conjunctions), deixis (temporal and spatial), inversion, and thematisation. The APC presidential candidate employed these features to present himself positively and other political opponents negatively. The dominant speech acts observed in the election manifesto are commissive and assertive. Bola Ahmed Tinubu employed commissive and assertive speech acts. The commissive speech act conveys the APC candidate’s plans in the election manifesto. The Assertive Speech Act states the policies and reforms of the APC candidate as well as his political opponents’ limitations. The study shows that the APC candidate employed covert and subtle means to brandish his political opponents’ limitations and inefficiency.

PDFAbstract
Artificial intelligence (AI) significantly shapes higher education, affecting students in their studies or personal development. AI has transformed how teachers educate and students gain knowledge and also created potential dilemmas towards their perceptions of their AI usage. This research aimed to fill the gap between these dilemmas and challenges that students face. This study was conducted using a descriptive qualitative design, by collecting data through surveys and interviews. The study utilized purposive sampling, a nonprobability sampling method to select first-year students from the National University Baliwag who have experience using AI for academic purposes. Our findings revealed two major student perceptions on AI: AIpowered assistance and Enhanced Efficiency and Learning Experience. They also balance their academic autonomy and integrity by using AI only as a tool and not as a replacement and by using AI to enhance their critical thinking and their academic productivity. It also showed that the students faced challenges regarding the reliability and accuracy of AI, the possibilities of over-reliance on it and some plagiarism and ethical concerns when using it. The study does not include the views and opinions of professors, instructors, the institution, and other education professionals. Additionally, it concentrates more on students’ subjective experience and moral dilemmas using AI tools as opposed to technical precision or efficacy.
